Mies Nobis in Berlin; all the cool kids are wearing it…
Started to notice my attempts at being street style photographer (yes i am using that term veeery loosely here) are centering more on shameless self promotion of my jewellery label Mies Nobis than any quest to document stylesubculturesetc developed by everyday people- leave that to Sartorialists and Tommy Ton’s of the world who do it better anyway.
So on a fun Tuesday night in fending off the flu i put together a photo set of my Berlin customersfriendsbrotherslovers wearing their Mies Nobis pieces on the streets of (mostly) Berlin- as quite possibly someone would say ‘richtig mies!!!’ (though in an ironic sort of way so that mies means like awesome instead of actual German translation which is ‘sort of lame’… like the use of the word wicked i guess… my god get to the point millicent… more pics on fb and as people send them in- hello people SEND THEM IN…

On the list of life achievements, having your naked bum plastered around the streets of Berlin is probably up there with getting matching tattoos with a lover and falling through a skylight- well now i can say i have successfully crossed all three off the list (-of things a mother hopes her daughter will never do), probably a good thing to have said bum recorded while its still in semi presentable form- I have noticed a definite (or should i say less definite) difference since moving to an apartment with less stairs.
Part of fashion photographer Florian Kolmer’s series of street art images, as an exchange of one semi naked shoot for another i was lucky enough to have him shoot my recent mies nobis look book/campaign, its nice having talented friends. Actually not even sure where they are, so i will have fun searching streets of Berlin for my bum…
