Shooting with Panda Kid Joost Leliveld…
We got a little showcase on how to apply your own Panda Kid eye makeup last week when bubbly blue haired Chlorophorm TV presenter and Panda Party kid Joost Lelivald joined us in the studio. He was kind enough to lend me his look- albeit in metalic’s, although the pic above is probably a bad example being as it was, half way through removing the makeup; called the crying Panda i guess…
The photos look amazing and apart from this little preview will be shown in the second solo exhibition for my label Mies Nobis at Marquee Bar on Brunnenstr on 27th April- stay tuned for invite. The poor boy made the mistake of saying he would be happy to work with us again and so me and photographer Timor Kodal are already planning to use and abuse this offer- being as of now total Joost fans…

Shooting with Meriaam Wassef…
Berlin based Stylist/Photographer Mim loaned some Mies Nobis Jewellery pieces for her shoot last week. The concept was a contrast between 70’s hippy and 70’s disco themed looks borrowed from Mim’s extensive wardrobe of vintage and designer clothing, shot at Almost191 photo studio in Kreutzberg.
can’t wait to see the finals…

Breathing Colours Gallery.
Straight off the plane to Sydney, on bare minimum sleep and unwashed hair (but lets face it that not unheard of) i headed to Balmain to check out the last day of the Breathing Colours Christmas exhibition where amongst other works some of my handmade jewellery pieces are being shown.
The website, which was all i had seen so far, being based in Berlin, doesn’t really do the gallery/retail space justice; a joyful little treasure trove of exciting and colourful Australian design, a visit is more like breathing/eating/dreaming/smoking colours; a happily overwhelming, colourful, inspiring experience. Cheerful owner Jess completing the colour-filled picture with her rosy cheeks and golden curls.
My wish list pieces include Chloe Waddell’s yummy looking ‘freckle’ bangles, Amanda Hasenkam’s cute little sky, earth, sea brooches and Not Tuesdays polymer clay bead necklaces for those of you who haven’t yet gotten me a belatedchristmas/welcomebacktoaustralia/pooryou,youaresobroke gift; take note!
mwa mwa!!
