First venture back into the world of Sydney society, and a reunion of sorts, with my Berlin/Sydney buddy’s; freshly cropped stylist Mim and artist/graphic designer Anton.

Of course no Sydney event is complete without running into a token (blue) ‘mtns’ person or two, including the lovely artist Joan (or ‘black joan’ to those of us she used to babysit back in the day- shown above with the artist).

A tasty free wine, a well packed venue (artist Daniel claimed he paid the crowds to come- sure that was a joke) and appealingly bright, graphicky paintings on unusually shaped canvas’s; my only gripe was exceedingly brisk ‘lights off and get the hell out of here now don’t you people have places to go’ kind of ending… while it was still light out no less- the indignity!!

Luckily little ‘Sticky Bar’ welcomed us with open arms for a yummy dinner in cosy surrounds. Their Wednesday night $15 special; roast chicken and prosciutto w crunchy sweet potato fries and a refreshing glass of white… droooooool.
